Project 5

Image
I used a background for this piece again, and i saw the shape of a turtle shell in this one. So i added the design to the shell with a fan brush, and added strokes of white to it also. The black and white specks on the turtle legs is supposed to represent texture on a real turtle.

Project 4 and Reference Picture

I used this online picture to create this piece. I thought the background i chose looked like a mountain scene, so i sketched out the mountain then added the green and brown colors, along with shadows.

Project 3

This project was based off of succulents and plants. I used the reference pictures to shape the succulents and then used a fan brush with all different shades of green to create a background that looked like a lot of succulents together. My master artist is Georgia O'Keeffe. She did a lot of work with plants and flowers, and that inspired me to want to do something like that. My current artist is Elaine Hodges, and she painted a piece with many succulents together, and the use of colors i really liked.

Background/Donation Project 2

This is my second project. I used a background for this piece, and added a tropical fish and yellow greenish coral, and some small groups of minnows scattered throughout. My master artist is Henri Matisse, and my current artist is Beth Kantor. They both used many bright colors and use of fauvism in their work.
